Well Intervention Services

If well repairs, workovers, or sidetracks are needed, Baker Hughes is the right company to call for well intervention services.

Our conventional fishing experts can apply a comprehensive line of fishing, milling, cutting, and casing exit systems. Through-tubing intervention services, normally conducted on coiled tubing, can be performed without killing the well to perform fishing or casing exit operations.

A recent advance in well intervention, METAL MUNCHER™ advanced milling technology (AMT™) offers enhanced wear rate and impact resistance to extend runs and significantly shorten milling time.

SMART Intervention Service

Our SMART intervention™ service brings the advantages of real-time downhole measurements to well intervention operations.

This service is enabled by the SENTIO™ downhole data acquisition system, which provides valuable information on intervention parameters occurring in real time. Armed with this knowledge, well teams can make informed, just-in-time decisions to optimize intervention, significantly reducing risk and nonproductive time.

Rigless Intervention System

Baker Hughes also has recently introduced an innovative system to improve well abandonment and intervention operations. With the new Mastiff™ rigless intervention system, operators can perform offshore abandonment, workovers, and conduct pre-installation operations without a rig.

The Mastiff system has many innovative features that make it more efficient than jacking systems, saving time and reducing risk during platform abandonment.
