What you need
We are seeking people who

We’re looking for people who are motivated and persistent, as well as resilient and adaptable. You’ll also need to show creative problem-solving and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Depending on the geographic area in which you live, there may be specific employment requirements according to your location, which will be explained during the application process.

Role
We offer a choice of technology training programs so roles vary according to business segment focus. During your first three years, you could find yourself working in research, product development, product design, product engineering, technical support, and project management. You’ll work in either a lab or a traditional office.

Learning and development
Training varies according to discipline and business segment focus, but all technology graduates go through the structured Engineer Development Program. EDP comprises three distinct courses with graduate recruits typically attending EDP1 within a few months of starting with us. This two-week course offers information about our company and an understanding of the oil and gas industry. Among many other things, you’ll learn about oil and gas industry economics, petroleum geology, exploration, drilling, and completions and production. Safety best practices, also very important, are included.

Later in your training, you'll attend EDP2 and EDP3. These courses enable you to develop leadership and management skills. Through these events, you'll also get to know your colleagues in different areas of the business and build your own network of expert contacts.

In addition, there are a variety of technical courses required for new employees to build their skills in the first three to five years. There also are a number of on-the-job activities designed to help you to practice the skills you’ll need throughout your career. The tight integration between learning and tasks supports a learning-by-doing approach that matches the complexity of our services and the diverse environments where we work.
