Do you have experience as an electro-mechanical technician or assembler in the military sector? Are you able to work under pressure and understand different assembly requirements? Do you have three or more years’ military experience and are ready for a new challenge?

If so, joining Baker Hughes as one of our Assembly, Maintenance or Overhaul Technicians or Assemblers at one of our US locations could be the start of an exciting new career in the dynamic energy sector.

Depending on your specific role and location, working with us you are likely to be testing, assembling, disassembling and performing visual inspections of a variety of electro-mechanical assemblies. You’ll identify and communicate technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques, and assist in the reworking, repairing and modifying of non-conforming equipment.

If you have experience, motivation and are considering moving into the civilian sector, we believe there is no better place than Baker Hughes to make the transition from a military career. As a global leader in oil and gas services, we have a proud history of recruiting ex-military personnel. You’ll benefit from the highest quality industry training, flexible working practices, travel and career development opportunities and a working culture based on our core values of integrity, teamwork, performance and learning.

You’ll need a Technical Diploma or an Associate’s Degree in an Electrical or Mechanical field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus an additional two years of relevant industrial experience. As well as at least basic proficiency in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices, you’ll be able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices. You must also be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
